ANOTHER INVITATION TO ALL MEMBERS

After our annual meeting last month, our first task was to get dates approved by Irving Grange. The Grange agreed to an indoor market March 22 (potentially the crafter swap meet), the monthly outdoor markets May to September (third Saturdays), and the indoor holiday market in November. There is interest in doing a spring indoor market, but finding a date was a problem.

Last year the Grange waived rent fees so we would have advertising money. This year they are willing to negotiate on rent, but we need to make a proposal and meet with them before we hold a 2014 market.

THIS IS WHERE YOU COME IN:

We need at least one person from the club to help with each event or we just won’t do it. We could really use help with the website and our Facebook page. If you are willing but can’t attend on February 12, or you’d just like to talk about the market, please contact one of us:

7:20 p.m.  Choices for 2014 markets:   Suggestions and brainstorming 20 minutes; review and selection 10 minutes.  List of suggestions below.

7:50 p.m.  Review club office roster proposals:  (What offices will we elect for?)

President (meeting chair & manager supervisor, review and approve new vendors, committee appointments)

Secretary (member roster, correspondence, minutes)

Treasurer (bank deposits, reconciliation and financial reports, checkbook)

Market manager(s) (collect member dues and registration forms, supervise market day, coordinate booth space, provisionally approve new vendors)

Webmaster (website, facebook updates)

Media (advertising & publicity)

Suggestions for officer positions welcome.

8 p.m.  5 minute break

Holiday Market

The Irving Grange Holiday Market Date has been changed to November 22 and 23. We are doing this in cooperation with a group of Holiday Markets and are adding the Vendors for Unique Boutique to our group after they lost their location.

Craft/ Art Supply Garage Sale!

SATURDAY MARCH 2

9am-5pm

 

Come and shop amongst some GREAT new and used art supplies and crafting tools!  All of us crafters end up with extras or stuff we just didn't end up using- and sometimes just need to clear out some space...so come take advantage of it!  TONS of scrapbooking supplies and tools, papercrafting, stamps, cardmaking, jewelry making supplies, and more!

Hi Everyone!

Are you all ready for this new 2013 Market Season?!

2013 Dates and fees have been set:

Irving Community Vendors 2013 Membership Fee:

2013 Membership: $15.00  (This covers your insurance costs for the entire Market year)

Craft Supply Sale:  SATURDAY MARCH 2 9am-5pm  

($10/booth)

* Set up available the evening before; booth spaces are indoors, 5’x6’

This market day is for the sale of new and used craft supplies, tools, etc- an opportunity for you to clean out your craft rooms and make room for new stuff!  Or just to shop! :)

             

Market Day Registration: THIRD SATURDAY MAY-SEPTEMBER 10am-4pm 

($5/ booth)

*We are moving to the THIRD Saturday May-September, to avoid holiday weekends.  

* Set up starts at 8:30 am; booth spaces are outdoors, 10’x10’

Note:  One Market Day booth is included in your $15 membership fee.
