PLANNING meeting Saturday, September 20,

10:30 a.m. at Irving Grange

AN INVITATION TO ALL MEMBERS

September 20 is also the date of our last outdoor market for the year. If any vendors want to do the market, we will honor that commitment, but I need to know you’re in before September 15.

For those of you interested in the holiday market November 21 & 22, Kari Weller has moved to Portland and we need to organize ourselves for this big event without her help. Holiday market is $10 for a table for two days for existing members, $40 for new or returning members. Agenda items include setup considerations, booth and table selection, and advertising opportunities to pursue.

This notice is being sent to those who participated in last year’s holiday market and current members of the club. If you know others who would like to participate in the holiday market, they are welcome to attend.

Join us July 17 at our third summer market of the 2014 season. Setup begins at 8:30 a.m. and drop-in vendors who meet our vendor guidelines are welcome.  Market hours are 10 to 4. 
We are still hoping to find a sign painter!

Irving Grange Community Market

Your board of directors met Friday night and approved the bylaws. We did hear from several members who were unable to attend the meeting and we’ve had significant help from some of you in the Facebook/website update, but we need more member support for this market to continue. There is still lots of room for improvement and so lots of opportunities for everyone to pitch in.

Irving Community Vendors have a surplus from 2013 that we can budget for advertising. We want to use it wisely, so the first consideration is do we have vendors for the market on May 17. We will pay for the paint and a small stipend for someone to paint our wooden signs with the market name and dates for 2014. Needs to be done NOW!  And we need vendors to commit to doing the May market so we know we have something to advertise. Flyers will be designed shortly and available for download or already printed up if you come get them.
